On March 5, 2015 the Saratoga Opera came to our school. They did the "Three Little Pigs". The pigs names were Don Giavonni, who built his house out of sticks, and Cherobino, who built a house out of straw. They love to play swords but do not like the library. Also, there is a sister named Despina. She likes the library. She did not know what to build her house out of so she went to the library and found out she should make her house out of bricks. The wolf blew down the stick house. Don Giavonni ran to his brothers house. Then the wolf blew down the straw house. The two brothers ran to their sister's house and the wolf knocked on the door and pretended he was Despina. They opened the door, saw the wolf, and slammed the door shut. The wolf climbed up the chimney but he landed in the soup and got cooked.
Our music teacher, Dr. Morgan, taught us how to say bravo, for a boy or boys. She also taught us to say brava for a girl or girls. If it is a boy and a girl you say bravi if you like a song. Or you can say them at the end of the opera. If you really like it you say bravissimo. Do not say these words more than once.
Our favorite character was Despina. I think the wolf was funny because he smelled the pigs and exclaimed "Mmm, porkchop". They had complex and very well painted props. We enjoyed the show!
