Whoa, we had a busy day today in 3rd grade! :) ![]() First things first - a BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY shout-out to Aidan, who joined the 9-year olds club today!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Moving on . . . So this afternoon, students learned all about Brussels Sprouts as part of the Voorheesville Farm to School Initiative's "Good Eats" healthy snack program! They also got the chance to pull the leaves of sprouts, which will be baked with olive oil and sea salt and returned to our classroom next week as Brussels Sprout chips - yummmmmmy! :) Some third graders were even brave enough to eat a raw brussels sprout leaf... or two or three! Did they like it? Be sure to ask your child tonight! A big thank you to Mrs. Wight and Mrs. Lawson for helping out today! For more information visit Voorheesville F2S! Finally, students had the opportunity today to preview the Scholastic Book Fair which begins after school on Tuesday next week. They checked out some new books and filled out wish lists (pictures are posted below)! So, parents - be prepared to spend some $$$. :) Enjoy your evening!
