Ask most students what they think of when you mention the month of February, and 9 times out of 10 they'll say, "Valentine's Day!" And, they're right! But the month of February isn't only a time to proudly display shades of reds and pinks - it's also a time to celebrate Black History!
Over the course of this month in class, we'll be discussing the achievements of the African-American population, and the historic events from 1915, the year slavery was abolished (ended) in the US.
